Colourwash project

For this project, our tutor made a Facebook group and invited contacts from around the world to upload photos of colour from the countries they were in. It was so interesting to look at all the photos that were uploaded not only for the vast array of colours that were shown but also the different cultures and how colour is used within their society. Here are the photos I chose to look at which I found from the album Dubai:

Using my response from photo 3, I scanned it in photoshop and came up with this pattern. The one on the right is printed on acetate and sewn into on a machine.

Artist research

Response to Mary Katrantzou using my patterns.

This was a book I had at home which uses repeat patterns as the main image but then also has a 'hidden' image within it.

Looked up how to make a stereogram, however my responses to it didn't work.

More photoshop patterns I created.

Using two layers of acetate I came up with this pattern.

Again, using two layers of acetate both in different colour ways I produced this pattern.
